The Shaolin Temple Europe, located in Rhineland Palatinate, is the only european temple recognized by the Order of ShaolinMonastery. Shi Heng Yi, the head teacher of the monastery (Shi Fu) talks about Far Eastern religionsand philosophies (Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism), far from their origin.The viewer gets an insight into everyday life in the monastery and an introduction to the physical and mental training the Shaolin. "Everything in life has two sides!" Shi Heng Yi shows the connection between body andSpirit, through practices of martial arts (Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Chi Gong), as well as meditation and contemplation. He shows the problems and their solution to integrate the eastern culture into the modern western life.
